UPDATE 8:20 PM: Highway 97 is reopened to southbound and northbound traffic,

Highway 97 between Vernon and Lake Country is closed late Sunday afternoon because of a traffic accident.
Drive B.C. says the highway is closed 10 kilometres south of Vernon. Facebook postings place the accident at Bailey Road.
The estimated time of opening is currently not available and no detour available.
