A major transportation route in the North Okanagan is shut down.
Highway 97A is closed in both directions two kilometres north of Grindrod because of a wash-out.
According to the Ministry of Transportation, the estimated time of opening is between 4 and 10 p.m. today (Tuesday).
A detour is available via Highway 97B to the Trans-Canada Highway at Salmon Arm.
