Housing construction increased in Vernon during September.
According to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, there were 39 starts last month compared to 26 during the same period in 2014.
Of the 39 starts, there were 19 single units and 20 multiple units.
Year to date, there have been 219 housing starts in Vernon, up from 158 during the first nine months of 2014.
