Interior Health has named Pat Furey’s replacement as acute area director.
Nancy Serwo will take over from Furey, who retired in June, effective Oct. 25, 2011.
The announcement was made Monday by Allan Sinclair, vice-president of acute services for Interior Health.
“Ms. Serwo will work closely with physicians and staff at Vernon Jubilee Hospital to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care to residents of the North Okanagan,” said Sinclair in a press release.
Serwo has spent the last 19 years working in various roles with Interior Health in tertiary, acute, community and residential care.
She is currently in tertiary services as director of health services at Kelowna General Hospital.
Serwo is committed to professional development and ongoing education, she holds a master of business administration and bachelor of science in nursing.
