Kal Lake water source back on

RDNO wishes to inform customers of Greater Vernon Water (GVW) that the Kalamalka Lake water source has been turned back on as of Thursday

The Regional District of North Okanagan wishes to inform customers of Greater Vernon Water (GVW) that the Kalamalka Lake water source has been turned back on as of Thursday.

The Mission Hill water treatment plant and Kalamalka Lake pump house were shut down on Monday, March 7, for computer upgrades and intake maintenance.

GVW has now returned this water supply back to normal operations.

Customers on the Kalamalka Lake supply may notice a change in water quality such as an increase in hardness. This may be of interest to those customers who have in-home water treatment systems or aquariums.
