The public flu clinics at Vernon’s Schubert Centre Thursday and Jan. 8 have been rescheduled to Jan. 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. due to the demand for the flu vaccine exceeding the current available supply.
According to the Interior Health Authority, those eligible for the publicly funded vaccine may still be able to get the vaccine through physicians and pharmacies.
The public is advised to call vaccine providers ahead to ensure vaccine is available. Immunize B.C.’s flu clinic locator (http://immunizebc.ca/clinics/flu ) contains a list of public clinics and community vaccine providers.
