Liberals get together

The B.C. wing of the Liberal Party of Canada is holding its annual general meeting and policy convention

North Okanagan-Shuswap Liberals will be part of shaping policies for the national party.

The B.C. wing of the Liberal Party of Canada will hold its annual general meeting and policy convention today until Sunday in Victoria.

“The convention will be a great opportunity to learn more and network with hundreds of fellow Liberals,” said Cindy Derkaz, North Okanagan Shuswap riding president and conference co-chairperson.

The local riding association’s policy resolutions will be debated at the convention.

They include a resolution on strengthening the health care system and another on stimulating the economy while reducing CO2 emissions.

The B.C. convention will lead to the national convention in Winnipeg May 26 to 29.
