Richard Branson does it. So does the prime minister. Even Chris Hatfield in space.
Live Tweeting is a way for conversations to occur and for followers to ask questions and hear responses directly from the host. It’s an online way to connect to people directly from anywhere.
This week, the Comox Valley Record is hosting its inaugural LiveTweet session during the May 14 provincial election campaign.
We have extended an invitation to each of the four declared Comox Valley candidates to join us for half an hour of live Tweeting with followers of the Record within the next few weeks.
We will offer candidates half an hour at a designated time to answer any questions on the election and their platforms — all you have to do is follow the Record’s Twitter account @CVRecord.
You can start sending in your questions today, or wait until our very first LiveTwitter session, beginning this Friday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. with Comox Valley Green Party candidate Chris Aikman.
Tweet us your questions using the hashtag #AskAikman.
Aikman will answer your questions live about his platform and the election, and we will republish some of the Q&As in the following issue of the Record.
Haven’t joined Twitter? You can join in the conversation through our Facebook page as well — just search Comox Valley Record Newsroom and leave your questions there.
