The male driver of a Honda Prelude, heading northbound on Petersen Road near Cheviot Road, collided head-on with a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze being driven by a female driver last Thursday around 6:30 p.m. Campbell River RCMP say the driver of the Prelude started to skid and was unable to regain control, crashing into the Cruze. The driver of the Prelude was ticketed with speeding relative to conditions. The accident occurred on a stretch of road that Coun. Ron Kerr has been advocating for improvements on for more than two years.
