A Victoria man is facing five charges, including possession of cocaine after police responded to reports of an unwanted guest at a home on Hirst Avenue in Parksville Saturday night.
RCMP Cpl. Jesse Foreman said police arrived at the home just past 8 p.m. on Feb. 18 and were met by a intoxicated and uncooperative 28-year-old man.
Foreman said the man refused to give his name to police and was placed under arrest for obstructing a police officer.
He noted that a search of the man turned up a quantity of cocaine.
The man faces five charges in total, including obstruction, possession of cocaine and three counts of breach of recognizance.
