Lumby launches flood protection measures

Over the next week, residents will see crews and heavy equipment conducting flood protection works.

Due to a heightened risk of flooding and based on the last three years of floods, the Village of Lumby is working closely with the province to take all measures possible to protect public safety and critical infrastructure.

“Residents should be aware that we may need private property access and your cooperation is appreciated,” said Mayor Kevin Acton.

“Citizens are reminded that it is the property owner’s responsibility to protect their own property from flooding.”
