A major road project in downtown Vernon is largely coming to an end.
Construction on 30th Street, from Highway 6 to 30th Avenue, will reopen the week of Nov. 7, but not everything will be done.
“More work is still necessary this fall for the final installation of underground hydro lines on 30th Street and 29th Avenue,” said Tanya Laing Gahr, the City of Vernon’s communications officer.
“The 30th Street project will continue next spring to the lane north of 30th Avenue and along 29th Avenue.”
Laing Gahr says the city appreciates the patience of the local businesses and public during the revitalization project.
