Competition between Bentall Kennedy managed shopping centres, from B.C. to Ontario, the company will donate $279,115 and 366,291 pounds of food to benefit food banks in 22 communities across Canada. “Our fundraising teams have more than tripled our original goals of raising $75,000 and 75,000 pounds of food,” said Bonney Rempel, regional director, of Marketing Retail Services West.

The Westshore Town Centre collected 3,667 pounds of food and $5,067.

“The Fare Fight for Food has been a wonderful incentive Bentall Kennedy took on at the Westshore Town Centre,” said local food bank president Gayle Ireland. “The Goldstream Food Bank is extremely appreciative of Westshore’s ongoing support and we know our clients are too.”

The campaign launched in February and ended Oct 31.
