The man who died in hospital after succumbing to his injuries from a collision in downtown Penticton has been identified.
William Fowler, 88, of Penticton was the driver and sole occupant of a 1993 Dodge Spirit that was proceeding westbound through a green light when it collided with a 2009 Hyundai Accent driven by a 65-year-old Penticton woman on Jan. 16.
The impact of the collision sent the Dodge sedan veering into a power pole, resulting in facial injuries to Fowler. He was immediately transported to the Penticton Regional Hospital via ambulance The woman was issued a violation ticket for driving through a red light.
Fowler died in hospital on Jan. 18.
