More than 1,400 McDonald’s restaurants across Canada, including those in the North Okanagan, will celebrate McHappy Day Wednesday.
The annual tradition helps raise funds to support children in need.
“This year, $1 from the sale of every Big Mac, Happy Meal and hot McCafe beverage sold in Vernon and Armstrong will be donated to the North Okanagan Neurological Association,” said Natasha Sellers, with the local McDonald’s restaurants.
NONA, which is a child development centre, offers early intervention therapies, infant development, supported child development, family support, FASD key worker and parent-to-parent support autism services.
The facility also houses the North Okanagan Pediatric Clinic and the Interior Health Children’s Assessment Network Clinic.
On Wednesday only, the McDonald’s restaurants will offer free delivery service to any local business that places a meal order valued at more than $30 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
“Please call me at 250-545-6337 before Wednesday if possible to place your order for your McHappy Day lunch,” said Sellers.
