Missing patient located by RCMP

On Wednesday, Heather Harris left a medical facility in Kamloops without completing her treatment.

UPDATE: RCMP report that Heather Harris, who had left a medical facility in Kamloops prior to receiving her treatment, has now returned. The search for her has been cancelled.

RCMP are seeking information on the whereabouts of a patient.

On Jan. 22, Heather Harris left a medical facility in Kamloops without completing her treatment.

“Police are concerned for her safety and are requesting assistance in locating her so that she can receive necessary medical attention,” said Gord Molendyk, RCMP spokesperson.

She is described as a Caucasian woman, 25 years of age, five-five-feet tall and 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Harris has relatives in the Armstrong and she was wearing a bright orange coat a burgundy dress and black shoes when she was last seen hitchhiking on Highway 97A north of Armstrong Thursday.

She is also known to travel between Kamloops and Armstrong.

Anyone who sees Harris is asked to call the nearest RCMP detachment.
