Thanks to information received from BC Transit, Les Kormany was located in Vernon on a bus.
“He has been brought home safe at this time,” said Cst. Josh Hanemaayer, with the Vernon RCMP. “Thank you to everyone who assisted the Vernon RCMP with this investigation which led to a successful conclusion.”
Vernon RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing elderly Vernon resident with Alzheimer’s disease.
Les Kormany, 80, was last seen October 28th, at 2:00 P.M. at his home in the 3000 block of 38th Street in Vernon.
In the past, Kormany has been located on foot as far away as Okanagan Lake.
Kormany is described as Caucasian, six-feet tall, 180 pounds with black and grey hair and with a moustache.
He was last seen wearing black pants, a black fleece jacket and a blue baseball cap.
Anyone with any information is encouraged to call the Vernon RCMP at 250-545-7171. If you locate him, call the RCMP immediately.
