Mission RCMP alarm response protocol changes

Mission police will still respond to panic, hold-up and two-way voice alarms, plus a few more.

The new year marked the start date of a new alarm response protocol by the Mission RCMP that aims to curb the amount of time police attend false alarms.

According to police statistics, in 2010, 97 per cent of alarms received by local RCMP were false or cancelled. In 2011, it was 95 per cent.
