The Vancouver Motorcycle Show is on this weekend at Tradex in Abbotsford.

The event kicked off Friday, with Abbotsford West MP Mike de Jong riding through the red ribbon to start off the show.

Produced by Power Sport Services, the Vancouver Motorcycle Show has an impressive line-up of manufacturers, including Aprilia, BMW Motorrad, Can-Am/BRP, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, KTM, MotoGuzzi, MV Agusta, Piaggio, Polaris, Suzuki, Triumph, Vespa, Victory and Yamaha.

Along with the vast array of motorcycle parts, accessories, and gear available at the show, there will be riding demos and hands-on activities, including a demonstration by nine-time Canadian Superbike Champion, Jordan Szoke.

Kids will be able to participate in the Yamaha Riding Academy for Kids, where youth ages 6 to 12 can take a ride on the latest Yamaha TT-R off-road motorcycle.

Also returning this year to flaunt their impressive skills are fan favourites and acclaimed Team Empire freestyle stunt riders Nick “Apex” Brocha and Ernie “EDub” Vigil.

Exclusive to the Vancouver Motorcycle Show, and in a very rare public appearance, Tom Mellor will be showcasing his one-of-a-kind, personally modified 1969 Triumph Trident T150 motorcycle that he used to break the 200.082 mph (322 km/h) land-speed record at the Bonneville Speed Trials in Wedover, Utah in August 2013.

The show runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets are $14 for adults, $10 for seniors and juniors and free for kids.
