A Domino’s Pizza location was robbed by a man brandishing a hand gun on the weekend.

According to Nanaimo police, the robbery happened at the Domino’s Pizza on 3394 Norwell Dr. on Saturday at about 9:15 p.m. when suspect walked into the business, put his hand in a bag, pulled out a hand gun and demanded money.

An undisclosed amount of cash was handed over and the suspect fled east on Ross Road on a silver and blue mountain bike.

Numerous officers who responded to the area were unable to find the suspect or the bicycle, police said.

The suspect, captured on video surveillance cameras, is described as Caucasian, 200-250 pounds, about six-foot-one, 35 to 50 years old, with acne scars on his face and an usually high-pitched, raspy voice. He appeared to waddle as he walked. He wore black sunglasses, a black hoodie with a green plaid jacket over the hoodie and grey sweat pants.
