NANAIMO – Campbell River robbery and assault suspect could be in Nanaimo, police warn.

Police in Nanaimo are searching for Ray Sharkey of Campbell River, accused of assault with a weapon, armed robbery and forcible confinement, who should be considered violent.

Police are warning the public to be on the lookout for a suspect, wanted by Campbell River RCMP for assault with a weapon, robbery and forcible confinement, who could be hiding out in Nanaimo.

Ray Sharkey, 29, lives in Campbell River, but has numerous contacts throughout the Nanaimo area. Police say he should be considered violent.

Sharkey is aboriginal, 5-foot-10, 175 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes.
