The heat is back on in Lumby.
As of Saturday at 4:30 p.m., the vast majority of Fortis customers have had their natural gas service restored.
As a result, the Village of Lumby will discontinue the heating room previously maintained at the White Valley Community Hall.
Natural gas service was interrupted Thursday morning after a motor vehicle struck a gas main in Lavington.
Technicians had to visit more than 1,200 customers in Lumby to relight gas appliances.
Any residents still without service can contact Fortis at 1-877-711-8877 to arrange for their service to be restored.
