New executive elected for DVA board

During the recent annual general meeting, Nadine Wilson, of Nadine’s Fine Art and Frames, was elected president.

There’s new leadership within the Downtown Vernon Association.

During the recent annual general meeting,  Nadine Wilson, of Nadine’s Fine Art and Frames, was elected president.

Vice-president is Doug Fairweather (OVCMT), while other board members are Brenda Gedaschke (Simply Baskets and Harris Flowers), Trevor Henke (Vernon Teach and Learn), Ruth Hoyte (A.E. Berry Insurance/Baron Insurance), Krystin Kempton (Nixon Wenger Lawyers), Mark Nichiporuk (Sutton Group – Lakefront Realty), Mary-Jo O’Keefe (MJO Tours), Gordon Passmore (HSBC Bank) and Fareed Lor (Gold’N Time Jewellery).

“All of the directors, both the newly elected and the re-elected, share the passion and commitment required to support the DVA’s overall mission,” said Lara Konkin, executive director.

During the AGM, the DVA also presented the Spirit of Downtown Vernon Award to Vernon Teach and Learn for its continued commitment and dedication to the downtown core.
