100 Mile House Fire Rescue fire chief Roger Hollander congratulates its newest 2016 recruits for successfully completing their recruit training program.

The new recruits have trained in firefighter safety, ladders, fire behaviour, emergency scene traffic control, live fire, and much more totalling more than 80 hours of training, he explains.

The recruits should be very proud of their accomplishments and will now be able to respond to emergencies in a limited fashion.”

100 Mile House Fire Rescue has always been committed to a high level of training and for these recruits, Hollander says, adding this is only the beginning.

They will continue their training to reach the National Fire Protection Association professional firefighter qualifications and also other disciplines, such as rescue and medical courses.

Anyone who would like to be a part of the team or know someone who would is asked to stop by the fire hall or visit 100milefire.com for more information.
