No change in leadership among fruit growers

Fred Steele tops the ballot during B.C. Fruit Growers Association conference

A hotly contested rematch had a similar result.

Kelowna orchardist Fred Steele was elected to a second term as B.C. Fruit Growers Association president Saturday, beating out Jeet Dukhia, from the BX.

Dukhia, a former president, and Steele also went head-to-head for the position last year.

The 126th BCFGA annual general meeting ran Friday and Saturday in Penticton.
