Nominations still open for tourism, hospitality stars

2014 BC Tourism and Hospitality awards recognize the best of the best

It’s time for tourism and hospitality stars to shine in British Columbia.

Presented by the Tourism Industry Association of BC (TIABC) and the BC Hotel Association (BCHA), the 2014 BC Tourism and Hospitality Awards are still open for nominations, but folks need to hurry because the deadline is Sept. 19.

“The BC Tourism and Hospitality Awards recognize businesses and individual leaders whose considerable achievements contribute to one of British Columbia’s most important economic drivers,” says TIABC chair Christine Willow.

“We have some outstanding talent in B.C.’s tourism and hospitality industry and they deserve the spotlight.”

Award categories include: Tourism & Hospitality Business of the Year; Tourism & Hospitality Leader of the Year; Employees First Award presented by go2hr; Outstanding Customer Service; Best Tourism & Hospitality Media Coverage; Best Tourism & Hospitality Marketing Campaign; Best Technology Innovation in Tourism & Hospitality; and the BC Destination Marketing Organization Association Professional Excellence Award.

Winners will be announced at the prestigious BC Tourism and Hospitality Industry Awards gala evening on Nov. 4 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

The gala wraps up the two-day BC Tourism & Hospitality Summit and CONNECT Food+Drink+Lodging Show.
