The Arts Club Theatre brings its production of the Odd Couple to Mission later this month.
The classic comedy about mismatched roommates will be playing at the Clarke Theatre on Jan. 26 at 8 p.m.
Robert Moloney takes on the role of Felix Unger, a neurotic, neat-freak news writer, while Mike Wasko will play Oscar Madison, a slovenly sports writer. Will these they remain friends when life changes bring them together as roommates?
The Odd Couple was written by Neil Simon in 1965. It earned the playwright his first Tony Award and remains one of his funniest works.
“This is ultimately a comedy about friendship — in particular, the powerful bond of male friendship. It’s a timeless story that audiences loved last season and I’m excited to now be taking our hit production on tour,” said John Murphy, director. “It’s also a 1960s period piece — think Mad Men, but really, really funny. The one-liners are rapid-fire and nonstop, yet it still manages to tell a touching story of two best friends trying to work out their differences.”
Tickets to the Odd Couple are available by calling the Arts Club box office at 1-877-299-1644.
