One person was airlifted to hospital following a multiple-vehicle accident on Highway 1 on Monday night.
The accident occurred in the westbound lanes, east of Bradner Road, after 7 p.m.
The accident, which reports say involved four vehicles, sent two vehicles off the highway. A fire started in a Chevy Cobalt that was involved in the accident.
The air ambulance landing shut down the westbound lanes on the highway, backing up traffic.
