There will be no changes to Okanagan Regional Library’s governance structure.
The board reviewed several options of governance and agreed that the existing board/committee model was sufficient as it allowed for the greatest opportunity for participation for all members.
“The board noted that several improvements in agenda management had made a difference over the past year,” states an ORL release.
“Further steps will be taken to take advantage of the efficiency of this model, including greater emphasis on committee input.”
A nominations committee has been formed to pursue board members interested in letting their names stand for executive positions in 2014. The committee will bring its recommendations to the Feb. 19 meeting.
