Meet Stuart Watkinson, a certified Prosthetist/Orthotist. He has over 30 years experience in his field, helping individuals who have become disabled or were born with physical issues, by fitting them with artificial limbs or braces (support gear.)
Watkinson received his certification in prosthetics in 1975 and in orthotics in 1978. He is a certified practitioner of the Canadian Board for Certification of Prosthetists and Orthotists and a member of the Canadian Association for Prosthetics and Orthotics.
In 2012, he founded Action Orthotics & Prosthetics Inc., in Penticton, and through working with Interior Health, has now decided to bring an outreach clinic to Princeton.
“This clinic will save the time and travel for Princeton patients,” said Watkinson. The clinic will operate out of the Physiotherapy office at Princeton General Hospital.
Thursday, June 6 will be the first clinic day in Princeton. Dependant upon demand, clinic days will be held every three to four weeks.
To set up an appointment or to schedule a consultation, please call the Penticton office at 250-490-3636. The Penticton office hours are Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
