Parksville man died in motorcycle crash June 30

The incident happened in Chemainus; man died on July 4

The B.C. Coroners Service confirmed the identity of a man who died following a motorcycle incident in Chemainus on June 30, 2015 as that of Colin Thomas Campbell, aged 61, of Parksville.

According to a news release, Campbell was the operator of a motorcycle southbound on the Trans-Canada Highway at about 2 p.m. when he collided with a vehicle that had stopped on the travel portion of the roadway at the intersection with Oyster-Sto’Lo Road.

Campbell was flown to Vancouver General Hospital but succumbed to his injuries on July 4. Authorities are still investigating.
