Eight of 39 convicted criminals were not at home when Langley RCMP paid them a visit on Friday morning (Aug. 19).
It was the latest curfew check sweep by the RCMP Crime Reduction Unit.
Roughly every three months, the local police carry out early morning home visits to people on parole, including a number of “Priority Prolific Offenders” and others out on bail, serving house arrest or under peace bonds that require them to be at home during certain hours.
The eight individuals who were not home during their court-ordered curfew hours will be reported to their probation officers and could face charges and possible imprisonment.
