It’s not too late for Qualicum Beach residents to have a say.
The next step in the OCP process takes place on March 16. Residents will be invited to attend a meeting about the proposed bylaw at the Civic Centre. The open house portion of the event kicks off at 3 and runs to 5 p.m. After that, from 7 to 9 p.m., civic-minded participants will have the opportunity to grill council, staff and consultants in a combined overview report and question and answer session.
Second reading of the bylaw is slated to take place at the April 4 council meeting.
On Monday, April 18 council will host an open house at the Civic Centre, from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by a public hearing at 7 p.m.
Third reading of the OCP bylaw will take place on Wed., April 27, starting at 10 a.m. in council chambers.
On Monday, May 2, council is set to give final approval for the new OCP.
