Wet, dark winter weather makes it tough for drivers to see pedestrians at night.
Wearing reflective or brightly coloured clothing can help walkers, joggers and cyclists be seen by drivers before it’s too late.
With that in mind, Nanaimo RCMP Traffic Services, auxiliary constables, volunteers will hand out clip-on reflectors to anyone who needs them tonight (Nov. 6) at the intersections of Fifth Street and Bruce Avenue and at Wallace Street and Victoria Crescent 7-8:30 p.m. Anyone who wants a reflector is welcome to stop by either of the two locations.
The reflectors, donated by ICBC, can be easily attached to jackets, backpacks, children’s clothing and pet collars.
