Shorts report

Reports of a half-naked man yelling and punching the air drew Central Saanich Police on May 19. Around 10:45 p.m., officers discovered the young man sleeping on the grass near West Saanich Road and Verdier Avenue wearing only a pair of shorts. They woke the man, found he was intoxicated and drove him home to his parents.

Nap time

Officers were called again May 21 for a man sleeping it off on the grass. Central Saanich Police found the man laying beside his bike in the area of Wallace Drive and Stelly’s X Road around 11:30 p.m. They drove him to a nearby family members’ home.

Beach sleep

Officers, family members and friends arrived all around the same time in search of a man on the beach May 24. Family and friends were out looking for the man while officers had been called to a report of a man passed out on the beach in the 2600 block of Ferguson Road. Family and friends got the man home.

Paramedic check

A Saanichton man spent the night with Central Saanich Police after being spotted on the shoulder of Mount Newton X Road near Central Saanich Road. Paramedics found that aside from overindulging, the man was alright and he was taken to cells to spend the night.
