Camera taken

On Jan. 13, police received a report that a surveillance camera had been stolen after a business in Trout Creek had been vandalized.

Police are continuing their investigation.

Shoes stolen

Police were called when a vehicle parked on Tait Street in Trout Creek was entered overnight on Jan. 13.

There was no damage to the vehicle but a pair of Nike running shoes was stolen.

Car damaged

On Jan. 14 around 3 p.m., police received a report of a single vehicle accident on Highway 97 south of Bentley Road.

The driver of a Honda Civic lost control on an icy road, resulting in the crash.

Damages to the vehicle are estimated at $6,000.

Police say icy road conditions and an inexperienced driver were factors, but speed was not a contributing factor in the accident.

Driver impaired

On Jan. 14 at 7 p.m., police stopped a motorist at a road check on Sinclair Road.

A Summerland man had a Breathalyzer reading for twice the legal limit. He was charged with impaired driving.
