Police search for suspects after home invasion in central Nanaimo

NANAIMO – Three suspects allegedly forced their way into apartment building by threatening resident.

Police are looking for suspects behind a home invasion in Nanaimo.

According to Nanaimo RCMP, the incident happened at an apartment in central Nanaimo Feb. 16. when three male suspects in a blue, possibly 2007, Chevy Silverado pickup truck approach a resident outside the apartment building, allegedly threatened him with handguns and demanded he let them inside.

The suspects went into an apartment where they allegedly assaulted three male residents and tied them up.

They then stole an undisclosed amount of cash, cell phones and other property, police said.

The victims were traumatized but did not require medical attention and gave descriptions of two of the suspects to a police sketch artist.
