Police are looking for a Harewood townhouse complex manager who has been missing since Jan. 13.
Jason Radmacher, 42, manager of King Arthur Court, has been missing since Tuesday when he was last seen walking on Fifth Street toward University Village Mall at 9:15 a.m.
Radmacher did not return to work the rest of the day or to his home in Crofton, which in both cases, is out of character for him.
Nanaimo RCMP say Radmacher does not have issues with drugs or alcohol and no presenting medical conditions and has few friends and associates, having just moved to the Island from Prince George in October.
Police updated information on Radmacher on Monday after he was spotted on a B.C. Ferries security camera while exiting the ferry terminal building in Horseshoe Bay at about 12:15 p.m. He had also accessed a bank automated teller machine before leaving Nanaimo on the 10:30 a.m. sailing from Departure Bay.
“His friends and associates are extremely worried as his sudden and unannounced departure is clearly out of character for him,” said Const. Gary O’Brien, Nanaimo RCMP spokesman. “All they want to know is that he is in good health and, for reasons only known to him, has decided to move on.”
Radmacher is Caucasian, 5-foot-7 and weighs 130 pounds. He has dirty-blonde, shoulder-length hair and a scruffy beard. He was last seen wearing a jean jacket over a grey hoodie and blue jeans.
