At about 8:20 p.m. that evening, police were called to help the Township’s fire department which had been called out to a house fire at 8336-200 St. The building was engulfed by the time police arrived. Fire officials believe the blaze was deliberately set.

The house was unoccupied and no one was hurt.

It appears that squatters had been living in the home.

Police are seeking any witnesses who may have seen someone suspicious around the residence prior to the fire. If you can help, call Langley RCMP at (604) 532-3200.
