Chilliwack RCMP are looking for witnesses who may have seen a stabbing take place in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
RCMP got a call at 5:05 a.m., bringing them to the 9,200 block of Young Road.
RCMP say the victim was approached by a man who asked if he had a lighter. When the victim said he did not, the man demanded money and then stabbed him.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, between 25-35 years old, standing five-foot-10. He had a goatee and mustache and was wearing dark clothing.
“This is a serious incident and police are looking for any information that can lead us to identifying a suspect,” said Cst. Tracy Wolbeck.
