The Comox Valley would not be affected by a possible bus strike in Victoria.
B.C. Transit and its employees’ union, Canadian Auto Workers Local 333, remained at a standoff Monday night.
The union represents 650 bus drivers, mechanics and maintenance staff.
A strike could be called as early as Wednesday if the two sides cannot come to an agreement. At issue is wages and benefits. Negotiations ended abruptly Friday when B.C. Transit walked away from talks and the union served 72-hour strike notice.
