Media invite mentions Wednesday announcement "benefitting families"

Premier Christy Clark is scheduled to make an announcement Wednesday at Penticton Regional Hospital.

Doctors here have been pushing the B.C. government to funding a $160-million share of a proposed $300-million ambulatory care tower.

An invite sent to local media says the premier will make an announcement “benefitting families.”

Clark visited the hospital in February and promised to have government staff get to work on the business case needed to fund the project.

Health Minister Margaret MacDiarmid said earlier this month she was expecting to hear options right around now.
