RCMP arrested four alleged violent individuals at an Oliver residence on Sept. 17.

The Oliver RCMP, RCMP-Regional General Investigation Service and the RCMP Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant on a residence on the 6800 block of Main Street in Oliver at 1:45 p.m.

“From information obtained during the investigation, police believed the individuals associated to this residence could have a propensity towards violence and were believed to be in possession of firearms,” said Cpl. Dave Tyreman in a press release.

Tyreman said due to potential risk to our officers executing the warrant and that of the public, the Southeast District Emergency Response Team was requested to assist in the execution of the search warrant.

As a result of the warrant execution, four individuals were taken into custody without incident. During the search, police seized restricted firearms, stolen property and drugs.

Charges will be recommended against the individuals arrested who will appear in court at a later date.

“To protect the integrity of this investigation and any future court proceedings, no further information will be released,” said Tyreman.
