RCMP Report: Fender-bender on Highway 5

One driver charged with driving without due care and attention following two-vehicle collision on Thursday morning

A car with damage to both sides of its front end rests next to Highway 5 in Clearwater following a two-vehicle collision on Thursday morning. According to Clearwater RCMP, both vehicles had been heading northbound when the second hit the rear end of the first as the first was turning right at theWells Gray Inn. An ambulance attended and the paramedic looked over the people involved. Alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash. Police issued the driver of the second vehicle a violation ticket under the Motor Vehicle Act for driving without due care and attention.

Break and enter to a mobile home

Sometime between July 8 and July 12 a single-wide trailer at Mountainview Trailer Park was broken into.

Clearwater RCMP seek the general public’s help regarding the break-and-enter. Anyone with information pertaining to the investigation is asked to call RCMP (250-674-2237) or Crime Stoppers (1-800-222-8477 – you will remain anonymous).

Leave nothing in your car

Clearwater RCMP remind the general public to lock and secure your vehicles when not in use.

Remove all valuable items from vehicles or placed them out of sight.
