A Clearwater resident reported to police that their house had been illegally listed for rent.
The person who did the listing requested that potential renters forward a credit check and a deposit to hold the property.
Police caution potential renters not to provide deposits for properties that they have not physically viewed and have confirmed are actually for rent.
Theft of fuel
Clearwater RCMP report that a local business had several outbuildings broken into. The only item stolen was a fair amount of gasoline.

Fire destroys semi
Clearwater RCMP responded to a report of a semi on fire near the top of the hill on Highway 24.
The semi was destroyed but the driver was not injured.
Impaired by drug
Clearwater RCMP conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the driver being prohibited from driving for 24 hours due to impairment by drug.
A small amount of marijuana was seized. No charges were forwarded.
Overdue traveler
Clearwater RCMP received a call for an overdue traveler. The traveler was located safe and well in Alberta.
No more studded tires
Just a reminder that, as of April 30, studded tires have to be removed from your vehicles.
There is a potential fine involved under the Motor Vehicle Act
Shot fired at crow
Police received a report of a crow being shot, possibly with a pellet gun.
Clearwater RCMP would like to remind people that the firing of any gun within the town limits or near a public road could result in possible Criminal Code charges or sanctions under the Wildlife Act.
