RCMP searching for missing woman

A Chilliwack woman who skipped out on a court date is now the subject of an RCMP search, and a request for public help.

Twenty eight year old Chantelle Chenier was last seen in Vancouver in mid-March, and is now being sought by RCMP after missing an April 8 court date.

The Chilliwack RCMP are asking for help to find a Chilliwack woman who’s been missing since mid-March.

Twenty-eight year old Chantelle Laura Chenier had just been released from police custody when she disappeared. Arrested on an outstanding warrant, she was let loose with a promise to appear in court April 8.

She never showed.

Chenier, who also uses the surname Marsden, is described as First Nations, five-foot-four and 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and vest, brown sweater and boots with a scarf and hat.

She has no fixed address, but has often been seen in downtown Vancouver.
