RCMP searching for witnesses of a Langford crash

Four people were sent to hospital after a crash on the Trans-Canada Highway in Langford

Police are seeking the public’s assistance regarding Saturday’s motor vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway in Langford.

RCMP Const. Alex Berube, media spokesperson for the West Shore detachment, said a red Volkswagen Jetta was travelling north on the Trans-Canada near Leigh Road at about 5:30 p.m. when it was struck on the rear passenger side by a black pickup truck that was merging onto the highway. It is believed that the impact caused the Jetta to cross into the oncoming lane, where it collided with a silver Chrysler PT Cruiser.

Four people were sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, with one person sustaining serious injuries that required surgery. A 59-year-old woman, the lone occupant of the PT Cruiser, had to be extracted from her vehicle.

Berube said police are looking for information from people who witnessed the collision, especially anyone who may have recorded it with a dashcam.
