RCMP seek owner of found ring

Ring was found in downtown Vernon and turned into the Lake Country police

Police are looking to return a found ring after it was recently turned in to the Lake Country RCMP detachment.

Sometime around the first week of May, a gold and diamond ring was found near Community Futures on 33rd Street in Vernon.

It has since been turned in to police with the hopes that the owner could be found, and the ring returned.

The ring is described as:

  • 14 karat yellow gold;
  • Seven parallel rows containing three clear white stones each (total of 21 stones);
  • The rows are aligned in a stepped formation towards the centre of the crown.

Police records indicate that the ring does not appear to have ever been reported lost or stolen and all efforts to identify the owner have been exhausted.

Investigators are now turning to the public for assistance.

If you believe you are the owner and have proof of ownership, contact the Lake Country RCMP at 250-766-2288.
