Fest-of-Ale set to grow with more brewers and cider makers

A record number of brewers and cider makers are going to be in Penticton showing off their best brews and ciders at the 21st annual Okanagan Fest of Ale.

On April 8 and 9 the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre is set to host over 150 lagers, stouts, ciders and cask ales from over 50 of the regions finest craft brewers.

The list of breweries that are participating in the Fest of Ale includes representation of local favourites from all over B.C., with 13 of the 52 total breweries participating in the festival for the first time. One is so new, their name and neighbourhood have yet to be released.

The two-day event features culinary delights from 12 restaurants in the area in addition to craft beer and cider along with musical entertainment.

Tickets are available at www.festofale.ca and come in different varieties including single day admission, weekend passes and deals on ticket and accommodation packages.

Participating breweries include local vendors like Bad Tattoo Brewing, the Barley Mill Brew Pub and Cannery Brewing as well as out of town breweries like Vancouver Island Brewery, Fernie Brewing Company, Victoria’s Lighthouse Brewing Company and 4 Mile Brewing.
