There will be some extra smiles on Christmas morning for one Port Hardy family, following the return of a wayward sack of Christmas gifts!
After hearing that the Sayward RCMP were looking for the owner of a found bag of Christmas gifts, Tiffany Charlie wasted no time calling in to claim them. It seems that the bag of gifts fell out of a family member’s pick-up truck during transport between Sayward and Port Hardy last weekend. Investigators went through the list of items with Tiffany, checking it twice, and were left with no doubt that that they were hers. For obvious reasons, Santa has asked us to keep the list to ourselves for now.
With time running out to get these gifts back to the Charlie family, Cpl. Milo Ramsey made the trip from Sayward to Port Hardy this morning.
“It was a great feeling to return these gifts, knowing that they will bring happiness to some deserving children in a few days time”, said Cpl. Milo Ramsey, Detachment Commander for the Sayward RCMP. “Sometimes it is the simplest of gestures that bring out the true spirit of the holidays.”
